Off and Away Cell Phone Initiative FAQ
Starting September 2, 2025, Radnor High School will implement a new “Off and Away” cell phone initiative. This means cell phones must be powered off and put away from 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
The “Off and Away” initiative directly responds to growing concerns about the impact of cell phones on students’ mental health, social development, and academic engagement. It also builds on the existing success of a similar initiative at Radnor Middle School, extending that philosophy to the high school level.
This change is grounded in a combination of national research, input from Radnor High School staff surveys, and feedback from parent and student focus groups during the 2024–2025 school year, all reinforcing our shared commitment to student wellbeing.
