Holiday Gift Cards Collection
The RHS PTO Community Outreach Committee is collecting $25 gift cards for RHS students who could use some extra holiday cheer with a meal out (Chipotle, Wawa or Chick-fil-a) and a treat from Target.
Gift cards can be turned in to the RHS security desk, or your student can hand to Mrs. Browne in the RHS library anytime through Friday, 12/12. Please label envelopes “RHS PTO Holiday Drive.”

The mission of the Radnor High School Parent-Teacher-Organization is to promote and foster educational excellence and student welfare in the school, the home, and the community by providing the means through which members may meet, organize, fund and participate in events that enhance and supplement the district's commitment to providing a high-quality education to all the students at RHS.

PTO Activities/Committees
Thank you for volunteering to be a part of the RHS PTO, volunteers are a critical part of making the PTO a success. Please see below for a brief description of each of the Executive Board job descriptions as well as descriptions of subcommittees that RHS PTO supports.
EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS
President: Serves as primary liaison between staff, parents and administration, ensuring clear communication among these groups. Key responsibilities include oversight and support for all PTO committees, facilitating Executive Board and public meetings, building district collaboration, and volunteer management. The role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the PTO and ensuring that both school and district initiatives are aligned with the needs of parents, staff, and students.
Vice President (VP): Assists the current President with PTO tasks while learning the ins and outs of the presidency. This role includes helping disseminate information, administrative tasks and stepping in for the President when needed, with an eye toward stepping into the role of PTO President in the future (don't be too scared by this).
Treasurer: Responsible for maintaining all financial records of the PTO, including managing all bank accounts and ensuring that all reimbursements and payouts are made in accordance with the approved budget. Key responsibilities include financial management, budget oversight, tax and compliance, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has strong organizational skills.
Assistant Treasurer: Together with the Treasurer manages finances while gaining a thorough understanding of the Treasurer's role with an eye toward stepping into the Treasurer role in the future. Both positions require being a signatory on PTO bank accounts.
Vice President of Communications: Responsible for creating and distributing PTO emails and managing Instagram posts to keep the school community informed and engaged. Additionally, this role involves assisting in maintaining and updating the PTO webpage with current and accurate information.
Assistant, Communications: Social media is a new position for 2025-2026 created to support dissemination of information and through social media outlets.
Vice President of Fundraising: Leads and coordinates efforts to raise funds for staff and students throughout the school year. Key responsibilities include planning and executing 1 Radnor High School (RHS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 2025-2026 Vision: Transparency, Communication, Support major fundraising events, interacting with local businesses to secure services, and overseeing the family sponsorship campaign. Families can donate here. The role also involves spearheading passive fundraising initiatives (e.g., “Take out Tuesday” whereby a percentage of restaurant profits on a given night) and managing the sale and distribution of school spirit gear. The VP will collaborate with local vendors to create and supply fun school merchandise, such as flags and magnets, and manage their sales and distribution.
Secretary: Records and distributes the minutes of all meetings. The secretary will provide meeting minutes to the VP of communications to post on the PTO website. Additionally, the secretary will prepare official correspondence, such as thank you notes to donors and volunteers as needed.
SUBCOMMITTEE POSITIONS
ABC House, Alliance for Safe Kids, Community Outreach, MLK Service Day
A Better Chance (ABC) House Liaison: Serves as the point of contact between the Radnor chapter of the ABC House and the PTO, responsible for information exchange and ensuring key updates and news are distributed to the broader school community through the PTO. The ABC program provides life-changing educational opportunities to academically advanced and highly motivated young men and women of color. More information can be found here.
*Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) Committee Chair: Organizes the ASK speaker series on mental health topics of interest to the Radnor community. This involves necessary logistics (e.g., reserving space at the high school for in-person events, equipment, seats).
*Community Outreach: Supports the district by coordinating funds and essential supplies for families identified as in need by district case managers and social workers (e.g., Thanksgiving Baset Drive, Summer Basket Drive). In some cases, the liaison also assists in distribution of these goods.
*Martin Luthor King (MLK) Service Day: Coordinates with the Radnor Township School District (RTSD) MLK Coordinator to organize a day of service at the High School cafeteria on MLK Day.
REF Representative, RHS Scholarship
Radnor Educational Foundation (REF) Representative: Attends monthly REF meetings and assists in identifying funding needs within the school district. This role involves relaying important information from REF to the PTO executive board, ensuring that updates and opportunities are shared with the broader school community. REF provides funding and support to enrich the educational experience, maintain academic excellence and encourage innovative opportunities for the students of Radnor Township School District. There are three funding cycles. More about REF can be found here. Including former Grant Coordinator position duties: Leads the PTO grant program that supports ideas and initiatives that directly benefit and enhance the RHS Community. PTO grants are meant to cover unmet needs that fall outside of departmental funding. The grant application can be found here.
RHS Scholarship PTO Representative: The Radnor High School Scholarship organization is a needs based-scholarship fund conceived in 1966 and adjudicated based on the student Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Attends monthly meetings of the RHS Scholarship organization.
Bus Driver Breakfast, Staff Appreciation Events
Bus Driver Breakfast: Organizes and hosts one to two breakfasts (late fall, early winter) that support our bus drivers at the transportation depot. Note: funded with district wide funds.
*Staff Appreciation Chair: Responsible for organizing two events (Fall and Spring) that show appreciation and celebrate the school staff, primarily coordinating food and volunteers and reserving rooms at the high school. The Fall event typically features a grab and go style dinner, while the Spring event focuses on desserts.
Welcome Committee, Lower Merion Week, Multicultural Committee, Recruiter Gift Bags, MTK Liaison
*Welcome Committee: This committee holds an informal “meet and greet” with the high school administrative staff before the school year officially begins and supports new families to the RTSD community including freshman parents and students.
*Lower Merion (LM) Week: Supports the RHS staff led event in the planning and funding of LM week including the pep rally. Funds are raised through t-shirt sales, donations, and other fundraising efforts. The PTO liaison(s) assist in finding parent volunteers and donations for this event that takes place in mid-late October.
*Multicultural Committee: Coordinates events throughout the year celebrating cultural diversity among the Radnor community. Typically, five potluck evening events are held around holidays and cultural events.
MTK Liaison: The liaison supports the MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT (MTK) which is an online database used by all five of the district’s PTOs to send email communications.
