Students of the Month
Each month, the staff nominates students who exemplify one or more of the following characteristics:
- Good Citizenship: helps without being asked, shows kindness to others
- Positive Attitude: works hard without seeking recognition
- Outstanding Character: strives to do the right thing
Students selected for Student of the Month will be recognized on the morning announcements, receive a certificate, and pose for an optional picture with Dr. MacNamara. Their picture and a brief profile will be displayed on the Students of the Month gallery wall located in the main entrance lobby of the high school.

Lilit Ayanian

Lilit is a bright and engaged student who displays a high level of organization and maturity. Her insights make a great contribution to the classroom.
11th Grade:
Bryce Kilfoil

Bryce is new to Radnor High School and has done a fabulous job of getting immersed in the school. He's friendly, kind, and thoughtful. Bryce approaches all of his classes with dedication and positivity. He is willing to try new things and is a great example of a student with a growth mindset.

Kush Jain

Kush is an excellent student in my class. He drives the discussion in the class by asking insightful questions. He often helps other students in the class, without being asked. He is a captain of the Radnor Robotics Team 101A. He does a great job of keeping the team on task and being ready to compete. Outside of school, he has many varied interests in which he volunteers. He is a nice kid whom I enjoy working with every day.

Cosimo Gaster embodies the true spirit of our school community. Whether it's offering a helping hand to a classmate, volunteering for school events, or simply checking in to see how others are doing, Cosimo always makes an effort to spread positivity and inclusiveness. Beyond their kindness, Cosimo is involved in various school activities, showing a true dedication to contributing to our school culture.

Sarah Vanauken

Sarah is always willing to help students in her classes; she has a unique ability to explain complex concepts to students who may not initially understand them. She is patient and articulate, and the students are always so appreciative.

Ava has made an AMAZING improvement in herself from last year. I am amazed and proud of how much she has grown. She immersed herself in theatre and found friends, confidence, and a passion for coming to school. This amazing growth runs parallel to her selflessness, kindness, and desire to help and be a positive person.

James Lan

James is in my advanced ceramics class and also in my art club. He goes above and beyond to help his peers. I have witnessed James go out of his way to make others feel comfortable and supported. One of the hardest units in my advanced ceramic class is wheel throwing. James volunteered to help his peers learn to throw. His peer guidance has fostered growth in his classmates.

Good citizenship: Bridget often steps up to provide extra assistance to other students without being asked, and when I told her that she doesn't have to, she told me that she likes doing it.

Elicia Soliman

Elicia is just such a great student. In class, Elicia always makes sure she includes her classmates. She has such a kind heart, and I feel she should be recognized for that.

Agafia (Agatha) Tuzova

Agatha is a student who truly is passionate about learning languages. She teaches herself very challenging grammar, and she is way ahead of her classmates. She makes connections with languages and cultures that make her stand out in the classroom. She is a pleasure to have in class.

I highly recommend this student for Student of the Month in recognition of their outstanding leadership, compassion, and dedication to our school community. As a committed leader of the Black Student Union (BSU), they consistently advocate for inclusion, unity, and positive change, inspiring others through their actions and voice. Her unwavering support for fellow students, remarkable team spirit, and willingness to lift others up—even in challenging times—demonstrate incredible strength and kindness. Malachai leads with heart, shows up for their peers, and represents the very best of what it means to be a role model and community builder.

Caroline Snell

Caroline has shown tremendous growth academically this year. She is perseverant. Caroline goes out of her way to be kind to her peers and does not seek recognition for her good deeds.
10th Grade:
Katherine Wetzel

Kate is extremely motivated and enthusiastic about the German language and culture. Every assignment she completes is an example of her dedication to her German studies. Her friendly and positive demeanor puts a smile on my face every day.
11th Grade:
Kayla Cormier
Kayla has extremely high standards in all aspects: academics, athletics, service. She represents whatever the opposite of indifference is--she cares very deeply about doing good and doing well. She's a go-getter who is driven by curiosity and creativity, which means that she contributes, collaborates, and is always thinking. She was also one of RHS's three winners of the NCTE Achievement Award in Writing.
12th Grade:
Justin Odorisio

Justin is a leader in the classroom. During calculus at first period, he is on time, energized and ready to participate. He has a sense of optimism and light-hearted humor that is contagious and helps to enhance the classroom atmosphere each and every day.

Sofia is very kind & is always willing to help other students. Specifically, there is one student who struggles in social settings. She is always more than willing to work with him and has really been a bridge to peace with other kids in the class.

Conor has matured academically over the past school year. I have seen him grow significantly in his preparation, attention, and desire to be successful. He happily helps his fellow classmates. I am so proud of him!

Edward Whyte

Over the past month, Edward has truly distinguished himself in Geometry through his dedication and growth. He has consistently chosen to put forth his best effort and has made notable strides in his understanding of the math material. Edward even began attending a second session of my course to give himself additional time to engage with the content, demonstrating a strong commitment to his education. His grit and determination have been evident in everything he does. Edward’s persistence and positive mindset make him an asset to my class and a great candidate for Student of the Month.

Ronald (Mackie) Denbroeder

Since coming to RHS freshman year, I have witnessed Mackie’s growth both academically and personally. He consistently demonstrates kindness and compassion towards his peers and possesses a natural ability to connect with others. In addition to his admirable character, Mackie has shown incredible resilience in the face of challenges. Whether it be balancing a rigorous academic workload with extracurricular commitments or overcoming personal obstacles, he continues to contribute as a positive member of the Radnor school community.

Alexander Liu

Alexander has been my "go to" person for help with prospective new students for the past couple of months. He has hosted shadowing students and was a true RHS ambassador for the next batch oof ABC recruits. He takes the time to get to know the students and navigates this role with positivity. Alexander represents the best of RHS both in and out of the classroom.
10th Grade:
Ava Preate

Ava has really stepped up this quarter. She has challenged herself to be the best possible version of herself. She has been tenacious, detail oriented, and focused. Her ability to push herself to improve while still remaining open to critical feedback has been very impressive.
11th Grade:
Julia Kaiserman

I am proud to nominate Julia for Student of the Month. She works at a local nursing home, where she has formed strong bonds with the residents. Her efforts have created a close-knit community, and 10 of the residents even attended our high school musical, where Julia had a role. Julia's kindness, compassion, and dedication to others make her truly deserving of this recognition.
12th Grade:
Shelby Kauffman

She participated in a four-day conference to the Best Buddies Leadership Conference to prepare herself to lead Best Buddies at Radnor this year. She has created a GroupMe to coordinate meetings with other students. She is very dedicated to the Best Buddies program.

James Morgan

James is always prepared for class, participates well and is willing to help others. Also, James is very kind and respectful and works well with others. He is always in a positive mood, a pleasure to be around.

Ryan Sears

Ryan is one of the most friendly, positive students to walk in my room! He is quick to say "hello" with a smile when he walks in, and "goodbye" and "thank you" before he leaves each day. He goes above and beyond each day, and is kind to everyone.
11th Grade:
Yixi Lin

Yixi always follows through on her work, she is a self-starter, and is great at politely advocating for herself to get all her questions answered or clarified. She truly wants to be a better student and has a desire to learn. Yixi also contributes well in groups: she listens thoughtfully and is sure to do her best work - for herself, but also for her group!

Aaron D'Ignazio

Aaron has made incredible progress through the last few years, and it is apparent in his academic growth, how he is thriving in his DCTS program and his overall confidence. He has also always been a tremendous self-advocate, a skill that will continue to serve him as he graduates.

Alliyah Nool

Alliyah puts all her heart into her work every day. She was part of a group presentation where she really shined. She worked hard to gather quality information and understand the content for her group. But she really set herself apart when she presented; she memorized her whole section, but made it seem like she was just talking off the cuff. It was *very* impressive!

Kirstyn Acheampong

Kirstyn brings a positive attitude to the classroom every day. She is incredibly hard-working and truly wants to learn. She often goes beyond the assignment's requirements. She often asks questions to gain a deeper understanding to the course content. She is an ideal student who is a pleasure to teach.

Sophie has almost singlehandedly managed the props for the theatre productions. Sophie is superbly organized, creative, and professional! Sophie is also performing in the productions as well and does not miss a beat. She helps her peers and is the first to volunteer. A model student!

Baynah has started her RHS school year with exceptional positivity and enthusiasm for learning. She is a glass-half-full girl looking to make the best out of high school. Hardworking, sincere, and super friendly make her a standout in the freshman class.

Alexis Reilly

Lexi is very inclusive. She is always quick to lend a hand to a struggling student in chemistry. She also greets every student when they walk into 2nd period chemistry regardless if they're friends or not.

The student has shown tremendous academic growth and maturity over the past year. Recently, she has displayed amazing kindness volunteering to partner to work with students in another math class. We did not ask her to do this. It warmed our hearts and truly displayed the characteristics of Radnor Student of the Month.

I have Dulce in a science class that I attend with another student. She is always on time, working hard, helping others, never looking for an excuse not to finish her task. She is very motivated and finishes all of her assignments on time.

Vanity Ewart-Smith
On the first day of school, Vanity made it a point to try to find each of her teachers to introduce herself and shared her enthusiasm for being a part of the Radnor community. Her positivity can light up a room! She consistently goes above and beyond to share a kind word or gesture with both students and teachers
10th Grade:
Siobhan Teehan
Inclusive, positive attitude and outlook, tries her best, not afraid to try something new. She goes out of her way to ask people/myself included how they are, is funny and social
11th Grade:
Trinity Bethea
Trinity is one of the most dedicated and polite students I have ever worked with. She asks extremely thoughtful questions during class, and thanks me for taking the time to answer them. She rises above challenges and keeps a positive attitude through everything. She takes the time to work with and explain concepts to her peers, and is just overall a wonderful person.
12th Grade:
Matthew Szychulski
On LM Day he helped with face paint for students who were not comfortable going to the art room to have this done. He was AMAZING with the students!

9th Grade:
Sara Ahlgrimm
Sara works incredibly hard to ensure that she keeps up with her work. She listens respectfully, clearly pushes through adversity, and seeks help when needed (but does not seek praise). She also has helped her groupmates in group work - as a quiet leader.
10th Grade:
Maria Yimer
Maria is a student who is quiet and shy but reliable, and so very kind and positive at all times. She is someone who works quietly behind the scenes and never seeks the spotlight, or reward for her efforts
11th Grade:
Alice Shneyderman
Alice goes above and beyond for her love of medicine. She is always seeking ways to expand her knowledge of the human body and medicine. I have not met another student with her motivation and curiosity. I know that one day she is going to make an excellent physician.
12th Grade:

Colin is new to RHS. He is extremely positive and willing to engage in new experiences!

Extraordinary enthusiasm toward learning Advanced Biology! Tons of extra work and excellent performance in the lab setting!
10th Grade:
Andrew Wang
Voluntarily helping other students with math support.
11th Grade:
Jamar and Jamil Hill
Jamar navigates life and school with incredible personal integrity and positivity. In my view he is one of those natural role models who requires no fanfare. He represents the best of Radnor High School, day in and day out.
Jamil was asked to assist parents in getting around during Back to School Night. He took on the responsibility to with great pride. He followed up with me for expectations. Arrived early to the event to be in position, Adjusted to other parts of the building as needs arose and showed a ton or iniative through the entire process. Jamil has thrived in opportunities to welcome new students and guest to the building over and over again. I am happy to be able to count on him as a leader that invites others to feel welcome in our building.
12th Grade:
Sharon Liu
Sharon has started off the year working incredibly hard. She is ahead in all of her online assignments and doing well in all of her courses.
