Welcome to the School Year from Principal Kevgas!

Dear Radnor High School Families,

Welcome back! We hope that everyone had a wonderful summer and that you were able to enjoy time with your families. For the Kevgas family, it was filled with lots of college tours as our oldest begins her senior year. We are looking forward to celebrating many milestones and transitions this year as our son begins middle school, our younger daughter begins high school and our oldest gets ready to spread her wings and fly! My hope is that we all have the opportunity this year to celebrate our incredible children as we navigate a world that moves faster and faster. We look forward to creating these memories with you throughout the school year. Our students always make us Radnor Proud!

We begin the 2022-23 school year full of gratitude, and with anticipation for all the wonderful events that lie ahead, especially the completion of our ADA Accessibility and Wellness Infrastructure Project later this Fall. As principal, it is paramount that every student who enters our building feels safe, welcome, and capable of achieving success so that when challenges present themselves our students can have the tools and resources to overcome them.

Our faculty and staff is comprised of outstanding educators committed to ensuring our students’ academic success and personal growth by making our students feel welcome and embracing them for who they are. The relationships that we build with one another, and our students, are the foundation for everything we do. All of these pieces help to create a culture of belonging, and enable us to embrace the district’s mission to inspire in all students the love of learning and creating, and to empower our students to discover and pursue their individual passions with knowledge, confidence, and caring to shape the future.

This year we welcome some new and familiar faces to our Radnor High School family. We welcome back Mr. DiGregorio to our Math Department after a leave of absence. We also welcome back Ms. Jessica Barlow as a long-term substitute for Mrs. Pace who remains on leave until the second semester. Two new but seasoned educators join us this year as well. Ms. Renay Litz in our Special Education department, and Ms. Joy Mittman in our Art Department.

We welcome back to the high school Mr. Chris Kelly, from Radnor Middle School, who rejoins our Technology Education Department. We are excited to share that Mrs. Maureen Ertle will shift roles to become our District Transition Coordinator and that Mr. Ryan Thomas will step into Mrs. Ertle’s position at Radnor High School. Finally, we welcome Ms. Silvia Manoukian as our new Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs. Ms. Manoukian comes to us from Harriton High School, where she served most recently as a Math Specialist. In her tenure at the Lower Merion School District, Mrs. Manoukian served as Department Co-Chair on the LMSD Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Committee, and was a member of the LMSD Committee Addressing Race and Education. She also served on the Harriton High School Data Team, and the Harriton High School Achievement Team. We are excited to welcome all the new members of our Radnor High School family!

Finally, a special thank you to Radnor Township Police Department and Superintendent Flanagan who will help us again this year with making sure dismissal goes smoothly for the start of the school year. We wish all of our students a wonderful school year and anxiously await their return on September 6!

Sincere regards,

P.T. Kevgas
