RHS Students Recognized at National Leadership Conference

Radnor High School students Theodore He, Nathaniel Jean, Jessica Wang, Mia Xie, Lauren Yoo and Benjamin Zhao recently placed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC), held virtually from June 29 through July 2. More than 12,000 participants from across the country attended the virtual event. 

  • Lauren Yoo took home second place in Introduction to Business Procedures. This event provides recognition for FBLA members who possess knowledge of basic skills and procedures and the ability to make intelligent business decisions.
  • Mia Xie and Jessica Wang took home second place in Website Design. The ability to communicate ideas and concepts and to deliver value to customers, using the Internet and related technologies is an important element in a business’ success. This event recognizes FBLA members who have developed proficiency in the creation and design of websites.
  • Theodore He took home third place in Introduction to Financial Math. The ability to solve common financial and business mathematical problems is a basic skill required by all prospective business employees. This event provides recognition for FBLA members who have an understanding of basic math functions needed in finance and business.
  • Nathaniel Jean and Ben Zhao took home fifth place in Network Design. The ability to evaluate the needs of an organization and then design and implement network solutions is a valuable skill in today’s connected workplace. This event provides recognition for FBLA members who demonstrate an understanding of and ability to apply these skills.

These students were honored during the FBLA-PBL Awards of Excellence ceremonies for the FBLA high school division on July 1 and 2. The awards are part of the National Awards Program, better known as competitive events, FBLA-PBL’s program that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. 

“Radnor is proud of these young people and their extraordinary accomplishments,” said RHS FBLA advisor Charles Horner.
