RHS Senior Named First Chair Flutist for National Orchestra

Radnor High School senior Audrey Niedland was recently named first chair in the flute section of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Symphony Orchestra. She is one of only ten student-musicians from Pennsylvania, and four flutists, selected to the 122-member ensemble.

Audrey will participate in a virtual All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) program from January 22-24. The ANHE Ensembles consist of a concert band, symphony orchestra, mixed choir, jazz ensemble, guitar ensemble and modern band. Participants were selected through a rigorous process that included a series of recorded video auditions during the 2020-21 school year.

The 2021 virtual event will include several rehearsals with the 2021 ANHE Conductors, workshops with renown clinicians, and each ensemble will create a final, recorded performance which will be premiered online during the 37th-annual Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM).
