On October 21, Latin teachers Dr. Donal McGay (RHS/RMS) and Mr. Tom Hagan (RMS) led a team of six Radnor High School students to the Fall Latin Festival, a PAJCL (Pennsylvania Junior Classical League) sponsored event, at Conrad Weiser High School in Robesonia, PA.  The day was filled with Latin-themed activities including Mythology Bingo, Certamen (trivia competition), Equus October (a reenactment of an ancient festival), Latin Karaoke, Olympic events, art activities, spontaneous play writing, and Ultimate Frisbee.

RHS fielded two Certamen teams led by senior Defne Doken, juniors Cole Kelman, Jack Lorine, and JT Thiara, sophomore Anrui Xu, and freshman Esme Luvaas.  These teams competed against students from Harriton High School, Owen J Roberts High School, Conrad Weiser Hish School and Upper Dublin High School. Though the competition was fierce, Radnor pulled out two victories in the novice and intermediate divisions.

The team will participate in their next Certamen competition in November 2023 at Harriton High School.
