Radnorite Staff Earns Four Student Keystone Media Awards

 

The Radnor High School student news site, Radnorite, recently earned four honors in the 2023 Student Keystone Media Awards, including a first place award for Co-Edito- in-Chief Edy MacKenzie.

Three additional Radnorite staff members were recognized for their work, earning a second place award and two honorable mention awards.

The award winners from Radnor High School are:

  • Edith MacKenzie - First Place, Public Service/Enterprise Package, The Business of Saving Local News
  • Chayse Hevesi  - Second Place, Review, 'Midnights' in Radnor: Before and After
  • Sammy Rosin - Honorable Mention, Editorial, Books Don't Belong Behind Bars; Don't take abortion in PA for granted; I experienced censorship, now I fear for our Democracy
  • Renatka Kozlowska - Honorable Mention, Feature Story, Understanding Abortion Laws Around the World

The Student Keystone Media Awards contest recognizes high school and college journalism that provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers. Any student at any public, private or parochial Pennsylvania high school, college or university who has had his or her material published in the school newspaper may enter the contest. Students who have had their work published on a digital news site may enter the contest provided the site meets the criteria as outlined in the contest rules.
