Introducing Valedictorian Nora Graves and Salutatorian Ellie Davis!

Congrats to Eleanor "Nora" Graves and Margaret "Ellie" Davis! The outstanding Radnor High School students will address their classmates as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, during the RHS Class of 2022 Commencement on Wednesday, June 8 at 4 p.m. at the Finneran Pavilion at Villanova University.

The accomplished seniors tout a litany of achievements and accomplishments, including shared success as National Merit Scholarship finalists, Model United Nations (UN) delegates, and National Honor Society members. Learn more about them below.

Nora Graves, Valedictorian

A talented violist, Nora Graves has been a section leader in the RHS symphony orchestra for the past two years. She is president of the Tri M Music Honors Society and offers free virtual viola lessons through Mission Orpheus. She was previously selected to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 12 and Region IV orchestras.

Nora is an award-winning German student, having earned a Gold Medal on the National German Exam for all four years of high school and an all-expenses-paid trip to Germany sponsored by the German government  through the AATG/PAD German Study Trip Award her freshman year. She has also worked as an assistant German teacher at the Donau Schule, a local Saturday German school.

Nora is a member of the Radnor Girls Ultimate Frisbee team, Model UN, and National Honor Society. She received the German Book Award and the Society of Women Engineers Award with Highest Honors at the RHS Junior Academic Book Awards in 2021.

Nora will be attending Princeton University.

Ellie Davis, Salutatorian

Ellie Davis is editor-in-chief of the Radnor High School student newspaper and media site, The Radnorite, and previously served as associate editor and associate opinions editor. She earned several Keystone Media Awards for her work, including first place in the Feature Story category in 2020 for "The Disparity Within Pennsylvania's Education System."

Ellie has served on the RTSD School Board as student representative to the Government Relations and Communications Committee. She is also co-founder and president of the League of Women Voters Radnor High School Chapter, co-founder of Radnor for Reform, and interned at the Pennsylvania Public Interest Research Group, assisting with outreach to state legislators and media contacts.

Ellie is co-captain of the RHS girls crew club and a member of the girls basketball team, earning All-Central League and All-Delco honors. She is also a member of the Model UN club, earning three "Best Delegate" awards from conferences at Johns Hopkins University, University of North Carolina, and Rutgers University. She received the Harvard Book Award Winner and Society of Women Engineers Award at the RHS Junior Academic Book Awards in 2021.

Ellie will be joining the women's crew team at Williams College.
