Brian Pawling Joins RTSD as New Business Administrator

Brian Pawling joined RTSD as the district's new Business Administrator on October 25 following approval by the School Board at its monthly meeting on August 24. Current Business Administrator Michelle Diekow is set to retire in early November. 

Pawling previously served as Director of Business Affairs and Board Secretary at Souderton Area School District since 2019. He was responsible for the direct oversight of all business operations including budgeting, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, facilities/operations, food service, transportation and community eduction. He also monitored the district's financial integrity, prepared the annual budget, initiated strategic planning and annual goals with lead administrators, and oversaw all state and local audits of the district. 

Prior to his position at Souderton, Pawling served as Business Manager/Board Secretary of Brandywine Heights Area School District and as Assistant Director at North Penn and Manheim Township school districts. He holds a Master of Business Administration - Community Service and Economic Leadership from Alvernia University, an Accounting Certificate from Reading Area Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kutztown University.
