Fall Parent/Teacher conference dates are November 21, 25, 26, 27 and December 23, 2024.   You can begin scheduling your conferences on Monday, November 11, at 7 a.m. through our online scheduling software Pick-A-Time.

RHS Named to 2024 College Board AP School Honor Roll
 

Radnor High School was recently named to the 2024 AP School Honor Roll earning Gold Level distinction. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP program is delivering results and broadening access for students.

3 Radnor High School seniors were named a 2024 National Merit Scholarship winner. Rona Liu-Zhong, Will Meyer, and Carter Mountain were awarded a $2,500 scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation from a from a pool of more than 15,000 outstanding finalists in the 2024 program

RHS Senior Will Meyer Awarded National Merit Scholarship

Radnor High School senior Will Meyer was named a 2024 National Merit Scholarship winner. Will was awarded a $2,500 scholarship by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation from a from a pool of more than 15,000 outstanding finalists in the 2024 program

As we approach the highly anticipated solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, we want to ensure that our community is both excited and prepared for this remarkable event. Our school schedules will remain unchanged; all schools will operate on their traditional timetable.

The RHS Honors jazz Band competed at the 5th Annual National Jazz Festival in Philadelphia. 3 students were then chosen through audition, for the National Jazz Diplomats All-Star Band.

Nine Radnor High School music students qualified for PMEA Region music festivals. These skilled young musicians auditioned in a highly competitive field from Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia Counties to secure places in the PMEA Band, Chorus, and Orchestra Region ensembles.

Radnor Model United Nations (RADMUN) had an exceptional performance at the Philadelphia Model UN Conference. Thirteen students earned individual recognition for their work in committee and the team earned the conference’s highest award, Best School Delegation.

Congratulations to the Radnor High School Indoor Color Guard for finishing the 2022-23 season with a 1st-place finish at the Tournament Indoor Association Atlantic All-East Coast Championships!

RHS Junior Arav Menon To Compete in USA Biolympiad Semifinal Exam

Radnor High School junior Arav Menon has qualified to compete in the USA Biolympiad (USABO) Semifinal Exam. The mission of the USABO is to identify, inspire, empower, and support the next generation of life science leaders and to develop their international network.

17 RHS Student-Musicians Make District Ensembles

Seventeen talented Radnor High School student-musicians were recently selected by audition to the 2022 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 12 Ensembles.

Thanksgiving Comes Early at RHS

On November 16, the Radnor High School community hosted its 30th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. The event is a tradition that guests look forward to each year and this year was another great success.

21-22 Calendar Update

Radnor Township School District was full of holiday cheer on Dec. 22 as students across the district sang songs of the season before heading out for Winter Break. Classes resume January 3, 2022.

The top-seeded Radnor team finished an historic 2021 season by making the State Championship in Hershey on November 20. The state appearance followed the team's first District Championship since 2000.

School Board Action

Board-approved on Dec. 21, the calendar includes five, two-hour late starts to the school day to provide for professional development and maintains a full Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and Spring Break.

 RADMUN Wins "Outstanding Delegation" Award at Rutgers

Radnor Model UN earned the top team recognition, as well as seven other awards, at the Model United Nations Conference in New Brunswick, NJ in late November, the team's first in-person competition in nearly two years.

A Message from the Superintendent

In effort to "save summer days," asynchronous, synchronous, or both methods of teaching and learning will take place when school must be closed for a weather or other emergency. Snow days will still be called depending on the storm and circumstances.

The Board unanimously elected Goldman and Dunn to the leadership positions at its Reorganization meeting on Dec. 7. Dunn was also sworn in to a new four-year term with fellow re-elected Board members Andrew Babson, Esq., Lydia T. Solomon and Susan Stern.

Pete Henkel Crowned Homecoming King, Lucy Henkel Queen

The Class of 2022 honored a beloved classmate by selecting Pete, who was born with spinal muscular atrophy and passed away in 2018 while a student at RMS. He would've been a senior this year. Lucy is Pete's twin sister.

With face masks now required for all RTSD students, staff, and visitors when indoors, gaiter-style masks are again no longer permitted as an acceptable form of mask. This adheres to CDC guidance first announced in a message and followed by the district in February 2021.

With RTSD since 2006, Raines has experience with career and technical readiness; diversity, equity and inclusion; and other initiatives centered on student supports. In addition to the Assistant Principal of Student Affairs, Raines will be the RHS House Principal for grades 10 and 12.

Theodore He, Nathaniel Jean, Jessica Wang, Mia Xie, Lauren Yoo and Benjamin Zhao were honored during the FBLA-PBL Awards of Excellence ceremonies for the FBLA high school division on July 1 and 2.

Twenty-one retiring employees were recognized for their years of service to Radnor students during the Board Meeting on June 29. Retirees celebrated their time during a reception and heard kind words from their colleagues.

RHS and RMS students recently competed in the Southeast PA National History Day Regional Contest. Ten projects placed in the top three in their category and are eligible to compete in the state round.
